• The BMG were propelled an unknown number of years into a possible future
• Emereged into freezing cold, icy and middle of the night
• Jorentes was a city under siege from the east by "the Enemy"
• The BMG were their Exemplar forms
• Spies had brought back blueprints of a weapon that harnesses the power of the energaeic planes
• It is a specially designed ballista (cannon) that fires bolts of energy, though it is unstable and named as a warp cannon
• Most worrisome is a doomsday weapon rumoured to be shortly deployed known as the Null Sphere. It harnesses the power of phantom energy which can only be found in the space between the spaces.
• It is rumoured to be controlled by Stone Giant polemancers wielding their arcane speaking stones
