Sarpadian Empire

Overview

Initially a small kingdom, the militaristic Sarpadians expanded over centuries bringing to heel neighbouring duchies, principalities, tribes and kingdoms underneath the banner of one unifying empire. Their expansion commenced some 1,200 years ago, reached a zenith some 900 years ago before the utter collapse of the Empire some 500 years ago. The empire collapsed after a centuries long struggle against a deadly foe which destroyed them both.

Rulership and military

• Ruled over by a series of Grand-Marshalls, under their iron fist the Sarpadians brought a “golden age” to the areas under their control
• Disciplined and hardened legions, cadres of war mages and devastating cataphract formations were the backbone of the Sarpadian armies.

Sarpadia today

• The home peninsula is cursed and undead ridden after the cataclysmic downfall of the empire. It is a terrifying place filled with ruins, destructive curses and death
