The Horned God

• An Elder God that dwells in the Void, the Horned God is sometimes referred to as the Elder God of the Shapeless and unformed or the Great Manipulator
• There are cults (including those of the Wererats) who have revered the Horned God no matter if the Horned God can touch the multiverse or not
• On the last night of first new moon after the autumn equinox and on the last night of the last new moon before the spring equinox it is named as the Time of Sacrifice;
• At the Time of Sacrifice a living creature/s (preferably a sentient creature) is sacrificed – totally 13 in each year - starting with 1 autumn/12 spring, 2 autumn/11 spring etc. until it starts over again;
• On every 13th cycle it is possible for a Time of Hunger and Sacrifice is announced by the Grey Seers;
• The Time of Hunger and Sacrifice means that over a 13-day period culminating on the last night of the new moon a series of sacrifices occur at the deepest night hour – 1 on night 1, 2 in night 2 etc. culminating in 13 on night 13 (total 91 sacrificed)
• The Horned God is heavily linked to chaos, destruction and slaughter
• Cultists believe the Horned God is returning to the world
• Some believe that the Horned God will devour this world and spare only those who bond themselves in servitude to it
• The Horned God was worshipped by some of the Alin who were allied with the Carkade
• The Horned God is linked to the war that destroyed the Alin and the empires they patronised
• Warred with Ammutseba and other Elder Beings in the distant past
• The Horned God was trapped in the void during the last discontinuance and eagerly awaits release into the multiverse
• Knowing it may be drawn back to the Void, the Horned God is preoccupied with its own chaotic existence and seeks only to leave the void and remain forever within the multiverse;
• All others are nothing to the Horned God, playthings to be swept up in its erratic and destructive wake; useful as tools only
